Event date: Saturday, Aug. 9 (8 p.m.)
Event location: Café Du Nord

Possibly the Bay Area's most far reaching and influential musical talent, Jerry Garcia has left a lasting impression on American music.  Don't Let Go will be a celebration of Jerry Garcia and his legacy—the music he created, the music he loved and the music he has inspired. Buxter Hoot'n, an eclectic four-piece band that serves up a supreme blend of country-fried blues with a psychedelic edge will start the night off. Next on the lineup is Bhi Bhiman, a singer/songwriter who's a mix of soul, blues and folk. Buxter Hoot'n and Bhi Bhiman will perform both songs once played by Jerry Garcia along with original content. Finishing the night will be one of the Bay Area's best new Grateful Dead cover bands, Dough Knees.
