If you haven't already heard of the 1000 Journals project, it's time to check out the film (of the same name) that documents the experiment. In 2000, San Francisco–based artist Someguy randomly released journals into the world. Over the years, they've been passed around, collecting stories, pictures, collages and more along the way. Three years after the project began, one journal came back, filled. The film investigates the journals' worldwide journeys and chronicles the self-governed collaboration of thousands of people who added to this global "message in a bottle."
