SCENE: Although this sweeping restaurant owned by celebs Don Johnson and Cheech Marin is in tourist central, it has a solid local following. Dark wood and bamboo shutters give the inside a colonial-Vietnam feel.

EATS: Try the seared Mekong basa (catfish) served with scallion flowers and spicy lemon sauce or the Dungeness crab soup with hand-cut noodles, and watch the towering platters go by. Upstairs in the bar, order the signature vodka cocktail with lemongrass and mint and take in the live jazz.
