brunch, dine at the bar, good for groups, private dining or party space
SCENE: One of the first restaurants to do small plates justice, this split-level space is at once sophisticated and festive: white linens adorn the tables, and the waitstaff is dressed in chic black uniforms. Diners from all over the city gather for boisterous dinners accompanied by carafes of fruity sangria.
EATS: It’s hard to pass up the signature doll-sized ahi tacos, but Cambazola fondue served with Fuji apples and Asian pears for dipping is equally delicious, as are Coca-Cola braised spare ribs. An excellent wine list that belies the casual Mission District locale includes an extensive selection of flights for the more adventurous drinker.
