SCENE: You can’t miss the giant yellow pomelo hanging above the door of this tiny, 18-seat neighborhood spot. (FYI: There’s another branch in Noe Valley on Church and 30th.) It’s as stylish as it is cozy, with a small open kitchen from which exotic scents drift past the equally minute bar.
EATS: Freshen up on geography with the menu, which spans Latin America, Asia and the Mediterranean. Especially tempting is the Lucca salad of farro, baby arugula, beets, roasted corn and tomatoes. Meat lovers should order the Havana, a grilled flank steak served with jasmine rice, black beans and fried plantains.
