Still, this tiny “town” is changing and growing. Italian restaurant Palatino closed and was replaced by restaurateur Jocelyn Bulow’s second Chez Maman. Red Hill Books has expanded its cozy one-room store—making space for author events and more magazines—and even that old dive Charlie’s Club got a facelift and a new name (Chaise Lounge).
